Jim Nabors sings at Indy 500 for the last time

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- As the Indianapolis 500 ends this year, a four decade tradition comes to an end.

Jim Nabors has been singing "Back Home Again in Indiana" at the Indianapolis 500, just before the race starts, for the past four decades.

"It's very sad for me, but nevertheless there's something inside me that tells me when to go. There's an old song, you don't want to stay too long at the fair," Nabors said.

Nabors, 84, lives in Hawaii and says it is becoming too difficult for him to travel.
