John Gregg concedes Gubernatorial race

Democrat John Gregg has lost the Gubernatorial race to Republican Eric Holcomb.

When we spoke with Gregg earlier in the day he was optimistic.

“I'm still pumped up. I’ll probably get tired in a couple of days, but I have been so pumped I'm ready to keep going," Gregg said.

Gregg also told voters he’s racing to the finish, running a campaign that would reach across the aisle.

“We’ve been very solid about reaching out to Republicans, Democrats and Independents and I think it’s paying off," Gregg said.

After learning he lost to Holcomb, Gregg said, "Although tonight is disappointing, tomorrow can still be our day."

He thanked his supporters, teachers, police, and voters in all parties.

When asked if he would run again, he stated it may be the last time his name is on the ballot.
