Join us when GMA comes to South Bend October 1

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Good Morning America is going live Tuesday, October 1st from South Bend! GMA wants breast cancer survivors and their families who would like to appear on GMA to gather in front of the Hesburgh Library on the Notre Dame campus by 6:20 a.m. They would like you to wear pink!

ABC News is going PINK October 1st to help engage, empower and educate Americans on the facts about breast cancer prevention, detection, diagnosis and treatment.

• One in eight women in her lifetime will get breast cancer.
• Getting mammograms as recommended lowers the risk of dying from breast
• cancer by more than 16-percent
• More than 80-percent of breast cancer patients have no genetic history of the disease.

GMA is also asking viewers to take the PINK PLEDGE.
