REXBURG, Idaho – After appearing in court for a bail reduction hearing, the judge agreed to lower Lori Vallow’s bail.
After a 30 minute hearing the judge lowered the previous bail amount of $5 million to $1 million.
The state prosecutor argued that Vallow had defied court orders before and left during a welfare check of her children without any prior notice.
Vallow has still not cooperated with helping law enforcement find her two children.
"The children are still missing and the defendant has not only misled law enforcement in their efforts to find the children, she has completely and utterly refused to aid in any attempts to find the children, even before the charges were filed," said Rob Wood, Madison County Prosecuting Attorney.
The children’s grandparents say that it doesn’t matter if Vallow posts bail, it’s more important to find the missing children.
