Juror selection to begin in Zimmerman trial

SANFORD, Fla. — On Monday, jury selection will get underway in the trial of George Zimmerman. He is accused in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin in February 2012.

The death of Martin sparked an emotional debate across the nation about guns and race.

And that focus is putting a lot of scrutiny on how the jurors look as they view the issues.

"The defense is going to be looking for caucasian, Republican, gun toting individuals who are pro-law enforcement," said criminal defense attorny Jose Baez. "Whereas in this case for the very first time, you're going to see a prosecution who may not be looking, may be looking for African American jurors."
