Jury finds Castile guilty

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A South Bend grandmother, 53-year-old Dellia Castile, has been found guilty on all counts.

After less than two hours of deliberation, the jury decided she was guilty of child neglect that led to the death of her 10-year-old grandson.

The 5-day trial addressed three counts of Neglect of a Dependent, one Class A felony and two Class B felonies, in connection with the abuse of her three grandchildren.

The possible penalty for a Class A felony is between 20 and 50 years. Each Class B felony can be punishable with 6 to 20 years.

Sentencing is set for Nov. 8, in Judge Jane Woodward Miller's courtroom.
