Juvenile pronounced dead after being rescued from Lake Michigan

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- A juvenile died after she was rescued from Lake Michigan Saturday evening, according to Indiana Conservation Officers.
Officers responded to Washington Park Beach at 9 p.m. Saturday.
The juvenile and two of her family members were in the water when a wave struck and pulled them into deeper water.
Good Samaritans nearby rescued two of the swimmers, but the third didn't resurface.
She was located at 9:52 p.m. and was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
The investigation is ongoing.
