Juveniles arrested in connection with armed robbery investigation

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. - Two juveniles were arrested after they allegedly stole from a delivery driver at gunpoint, according to the Michigan City Police Department.

At 12:27 a.m. on Sunday, dispatch received a 911 call from a pizza delivery driver who said he was robbed at gunpoint.

The victim said he was delivering an order in the 700 block of Washington St. when he encountered two people.

During their interaction, one of the suspects allegedly pulled out a firearm and pointed it at the driver.

The same suspect took property from the delivery driver and ran from the area, reports said.

Officers eventually found two people matching the suspects' descriptions in the area of 10th and Spring.

After a brief chase, both suspects were caught.

Police found a firearm and other evidence with them, according to reports.

They were identified as juveniles and taken into the custody of the Juvenile Services Center.

One juvenile is being held on the charges of resisting law enforcement and curfew violation.

The second juvenile is being held on the charges of resisting law enforcement, curfew violation, felony robbery, felony pointing a firearm, and unlawful carrying of a handgun.
