K2 banned in Detroit

DETROIT, Mich. -- The push to get rid of the drug K2 continues.

Detroit Mayor Dave Bing signed an emergency order banning the sale of the synthetic weed. The move also applies to the drug known as bath salts.

Tuesday, in Lansing the Michigan House Judiciary Committee discussed two of four bills. They’re aimed at those drugs.

They voted to move them to the full House. All are expected to be approved by the full legislature by next week.

It would go into effect in early July.
