Kalamazoo man accused of making threats against Michigan State Police

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- A 29-year-old man from Kalamazoo was arrested for allegedly making terroristic threats against the Michigan State Police using Facebook messenger.

Police said the suspect sent nearly 300 text, audio and violent video messages to the department's Facebook page through the Messenger app.

Detectives and troopers conducted a search of the suspect's residence and seized firearms, air pistols and long guns modified to look like firearms, police said.

The suspect has been charged with one count of making terroristic threats and one count of using a computer to commit a crime.

He is expected to be arraigned Thursday.
