Katie Couric visits Lake Michigan College

BENTON HARBOR, Mich.--Southwest Michigan got a special visitor Tuesday.

Journalist, Katie Couric was in town. She spoke at Lake Michigan College's Mendel Center, in Benton Harbor.The banquet was a part of a series, hosted by the Southwest Michigan Economic Club.

Couric spoke about her career, and her new talk show. It will debut right here on ABC next fall. She says for the first time in her career she won't be tied to a desk, and she'll be able to tell the stories *she wants to tell.
