Kayaker rescued from St. Joseph River

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — A kayaker is recovering after being rescued from the river Thursday evening.
Police say that a kayaker fell out of the boat and into the Saint Joseph River along North Shore Drive at around 7 p.m.
The kayaker managed to hang onto a log.
Neighbors heard his calls for help and they called emergency crews.
He only suffered minor injuries.
