Kelly Cares Foundation makes large contribution to area hospital

The Kelly Cares Foundation made a very large contribution to Memorial Children's Hospital on Friday.

Pacqui Kelly, the wife of Notre Dame's head football coach Brian Kelly, says her vision is to make Michiana a home for children seeking medical treatment.

"The amount of care and the type of health  care you have here is truly outstanding, where you are not having to drive 90 minutes or two hours to get the quality care that you really need for some of those more special health concerns that people have," said Pacqui Kelly.

The donation, which added up to $250,000, will help fund the new home for Memorial Children's Hospital and is part of a $10 million campaign aimed at enhancing health services for children.
