Kendall Street house fire contained

A house fire on the 1800 block of Kendall street has been contained and extinguished by the South Bend Fire Department.
Kendall street was blocked off Thursday afternoon. Police asked drivers to avoid Kendall street until the fire was contained and crews were off the scene.
The fire department has ordered a board-up for the home.
