Kids get opportunity to participate in NFL combine, thanks to grant

Super Bowl 21 Champion and Michiana Attorney Chris Godfrey hosted a free football clinic, thanks to a grant from the NFL Foundation.

Children from grades 3-9 gathered at the St. Joseph High School football field Wednesday.

The kids learned football fundamentals as well as sportsmanship, getting the opportunity to put the skills they learned at the clinic to a test.

A practice NFL Combine was set up, and the children were measured and timed.

“When the NFL made this available to us former players to get involved in our communities, I saw this as a great opportunity to share some of those things coming up through the ranks that love football,” says Godfrey.

A total of 12 kids participated in the clinic, and they received their timed results and a free t-shirt.
