'Kids' Night Out' for June First Fridays

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Downtown South Bend invites the community to the June First Fridays, "Kids' Night Out," where there will be something for kids of all ages.

The 100 and 200 blocks of S. Michigan Street will be closed for a block party with dining in the street, a beer garden, face painters, balloon artists, caricaturists, vendors, a Studebaker Car Show, and the third annual DTSB Youth Talent Show.

Organizers say the Gridiron Kids' Fun Zone will have plenty of activities for kids, and the St. Joe County Public Library will be hosting the Summer Reading Club Kickoff Party in their courtyard.

The South Bend Bike Garage will be providing a free Bike Valet at Key Bank Plaza, plus Architectural Walking Tours.

Be sure to see the Howard Park Concert Series, Movies at the Morris, Kids' Karaoke Party, and much more.

"Kids' Night Out" takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, June 7.

Organizers remind the public that parking on-street and in city-managed garages, is always free in downtown South Bend on nights and weekends.
