Kids ride free on South Shore Line December 26-29

The South Shore Line has announced that kids will be able to ride trains for free during the holidays, as part of their expanded Kids Ride Free program.

The Kids Ride Free program has expanded to allow kids 13-years-old and younger to ride any train for free from Wednesday, December 26 through Saturday December 29.

This includes all weekend, holiday, off-peak, and rush hour weekday trains.

Kids 13-years-old and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to ride trains.

Normally, the program allows up to three children 13-years-old and younger accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 21-years-old to ride weekend, holiday, and daily off-peak trains for free. Additional children are charged half of the normal rate.

The Quiet Car will remain in effect on the last car of rush hour trains during this time.
