Kitchen Skatepark hosts first annual BMX Pro/AM competition

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- It was a day for the amateurs during the First annual BMX Pro/Am competition.
The exciting event was held at the Kitchen Skatepark.The amateurs gave it their best shot doing backflips, tailwhips, and even a 360.
One competitor said being able to ride next to the pros was a great experience.
"I’ve learned some new ramps, each day I tried to learn as much as I can,” said Hannah Roberts.
The weekend's event was open to the public. The 2-day competition actually kicked off the 2012 professional BMX season.
