Knox schools on lockdown after threatening message received

KNOX, Ind. -- All Knox Community Schools are on lockdown Monday as a precaution after someone left a voice mail threatening staff and students, according to Superintendent Dr. William Reichhart.

The voice mail message was short and the caller did not identify himself.

Police were contacted about the threat.

As a precaution, all schools are on lockdown, but no one is in any danger, Reichhart said.

Police are in and around all school campuses and will be throughout the day.
