Kokomo baseball field in trouble with FEMA

Indiana is at risk of losing millions of dollars in federal funding because of a baseball field being built in Kokomo.

FEMA says the field is being built in a flood-prone area.

The Department of Homeland Security and FEMA have sent letters requesting the city to stop work on the field, saying the stadium could potentially make flooding worse in other parts of the city.

Kokomo city officials disagree, saying the stadium will have retention ponds, which would absorb run-off.

The city has 60 days to stop construction or the federal government could take Kokomo to court.
