Komen Foundation reverses Planned Parenthood cuts

DALLAS, Tex. - The Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation says it will not cut funding for Planned Parenthood.

The foundation initially announced plans to cut funding from the non-profit for breast cancer screenings earlier this week.

Planned Parenthood officials say the original decision was a political move but Komen has denied that claim.

Komen even took to its Twitter page today to comment on the sudden about-face, tweeting "We want to apologize for recent decisions that cast doubt upon our commitment to our mission of saving women's lives."

The foundation says it's goal is to continue supporting women and families in the fight against breast cancer.
