Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office introduces new K-9 deputy

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind.—The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday announced that it has acquired a new K-9 deputy.

The department introduced female K-9 deputy Besz in a post on its Facebook page.

According to the post, Besz was born in Ukraine in May of 2018 and is a Belgian Malinois.

She will be assigned to Deputy Craig Summers and will soon go through a six week training period that will give Besz dual purpose certification in patrol and narcotic detection.
