Kroc Center open for kids on Presidents' Day

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Kroc Center came to the rescue for dozens of working parents who did not know what to do with their kids on Presidents' Day.

Despite schools being closed, the Kroc Center opened their doors to kids for a special day camp.

The pool, rock wall and rec center was open for business.

They even had extra staff on board to prepare for what is usually one of the busiest days of the year.

"That is the idea of the Kroc Center. You walk into the building and there is something here for everyone regardless of what you are looking for you can find it here," said Sharon Dutkowski, Membership Service Director.

Last Presidents' Day was their busiest day of the year.  They say it is because many companies do not recognize Presidents’ Day as a holiday, but schools do.
