Kroger drops mask mandate for fully vaccinated customers

Kroger will no longer require fully vaccinated customers and most fully vaccinated associates to wear a mask while in their stores, the company announced Wednesday.

Beginning Thursday, those who are fully vaccinated will no long be required to wear a mask while in their stores, distributions center, plants, or offices unless otherwise required by state or local rules.

Non-vaccinated associates will still be required to wear a mask and non-vaccinated customers are asked to continuing wearing masks.

Associates in Kroger pharmacies and clinics will still be required to wear a mask due to the CDC’s guidelines for healthcare settings.

Kroger will continue to maintain enhanced cleaning methods and physical distancing in all of its facilities.

Associates will be offered a $100 one-time payment for getting the COVID-19 vaccine.
