La Grange County Courthouse adds security measures

The La Grange County Courthouse will begin requiring the public to go through screening before entering the building.

The change takes effect Monday, June 6 at 8 a.m.

Anyone entering the courthouse must enter through the west side through the ramp to the lower level. All other entrances and exits will be secured and alarmed, according to Sheriff Jeff Campos.

All individuals will be required to go through a security scanner and bags and packages will be scanned.

No weapons, food or electronic devices will be permitted in the courthouse.
