La Porte County Coroner's Office identify 17-year-old victim in deadly after-prom party shooting

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- The La Porte County Coroner's Office has identified the 17-year-old victim in a deadly after-prom party shooting as Javon Townsend, a junior at Michigan City High School.
The coroner's office confirms Townsend was shot three times and later died at the hospital.
Gunfire erupted in the community late Saturday night at a home in the 1700 block of Liberty Avenue in Pines Township, just outside Michigan City.
Two other teens were injured in the shooting.
ABC57’s Chicago affiliate, ABC7, spoke Monday afternoon with the mother of one of the two injured teens, Ariel White.
