La Porte High School steps up to give some holiday cheer to troops overseas

LA PORTE, Ind. – The La Porte High School Student Athletic Council joined forces with the Cutler Funeral Home to bring some holiday joy to soldiers and veterans.

The Slicer athletes took part in a stocking stuffing initiative to help bring some cheer to troops overseas.

The athletes were asked to stuff one stocking and then provide an empty stocking to another athlete.

Every time a stuffed stocking was returned, another stocking went out to a different athlete in order to get as many people involved as possible.

The La Porte Slicer Student Athletic Council successful stuffed over 80 stockings to be shipped to troops.

Cutler Funeral Home will deliver the stockings to the Chicago USO which will ship them to troops just in time for the holidays.
