La Porte intersection will become four-way stop

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- The Indiana Department of Transportation announced Friday that the intersection at SR 39 and 18th St. in La Porte will be converted from a two-way to a four-way stop.
The change will occur on November 8.
Currently, the traffic on 18th St. stops as the traffic on SR 39 continues through the intersection.
Vehicles traveling on either roadway will now need to stop.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution while navigating the change.
