Lakeland Healthcare transitions to electronic recordkeeping

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. –- Soon, patient records at Lakeland Healthcare will be electronic.
The process started about 18 months ago.
About 70 employees have been working to make the transition smooth and seamless.
When finished, patients will have all their medical records in one electronic file that can be easily accessed by doctors.
The hospital says it will improve the patient's quality of care!
The system is supposed to be done on Friday.
The healthcare system asks for patience, as all the kinks get worked out.
