ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Rolling slowdowns and alternating lane restrictions are coming to US 20 Wednesday evening while crews with the Indiana Department of Transportation remove the overhead signs and structure near the interchange with S.R. 19.

Alternating lane restrictions are planned to start around 5 p.m., Wednesday, for all eastbound lanes and the westbound passing lane of US 20 in the area.

Two rolling slowdowns in the eastbound lanes are then planned from 8 to 9:30 p.m. while crews finish removing the overhead structure. Each slowdown will last for roughly 10 minutes with a minimum of a 20-minute break between.

INDOT asks drivers to use extra caution while crews are working and to obey all posted signs.
