NILES, Mich. – Niles Community Schools celebrated their last day of class Tuesday but students from one particular school had to say goodbye forever.
Students who attended Ellis Elementary School happily said goodbye to the school year but had gloomy goodbyes to the school itself.
Ellis Elementary will merge with Howard Elementary to become one school before school starts in August.
All of the students will attend Howard next school year.
