OWENSVILLE, Ind. -- The salmonella outbreak linked in connection with cantaloupes grown in Southern Indiana is heading to court.
At least one lawsuit has been filed and more maybe on their way.
The lawsuit names Chamberlain Farms of Owensville and Wal*Mart as defendants.
The lawsuit was filed in Battle Creek, Mich. and claims that one family racked up hospital bills in excess of $25,000 after eating some of the melons.
