Leaf fire spreads to garage

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Auten Road in South Bend was shut down for a short time Thursday after a homeowner’s leaf fire got out of control. The fire quickly spread from the leaf pile to the homeowner’s garage.
Half a dozen fire trucks responded to the scene and had the fire under control within minutes.
There was some minor damage to the garage.
