Light rain showers will move in this morning around the 4AM hour and will last through the early afternoon. There is a slight concern for freezing rain for areas across Northeastern and Central Michigan—even reaching into LaGrange as well. This could impact travel for those returning from holiday plans. Ice accumulation locally is not expected. Temperatures will reach the 50s. The first half of Saturday is quiet, with highs in the 40s before rain showers return overnight.
Sunday is soggy and mild with temperatures near the 60s and soaking rain all day. A strong cold front will pass Sunday night into Monday—and we get cold quickly. Rain will transition into snow, and lake effect snow will take over. Noteworthy snow is not expected at this time—stay tuned for updates. We will remain cold going into the New Year.
