Lightning sparks South Bend barn fire

A barn was destroyed early Friday morning just south of South Bend after it was struck by lighting.

It happened around 2:15 a.m. in the 22000 block of Roosevelt Road.

Penn Township Fire officials say no one was injured.

The owner of the barn said he isn't that worried about it because he had planned to have the barn demolished.
