Judge in Lindsay Clancy case near declaring a mistrial; gives defense time to appeal

UPDATE: According to new reporting from AP, the judge has given the defense an hour to appeal a mistrial declaration.

PLYMOUTH, Mass. -- A mistrial has been declared in the murder trial of Lindsay Clancy.

This comes after a deadlock between jurors.

Clancy is accused of triple murder in the death of her children. Her defense has argued that postpartum psychosis led to her actions; prosecutors argue she knew what she was doing.
