9:30 a.m. Chikaming Township closed offices in Michigan. 


9:23 a.m. South Bend's snow parking regulations will take effect on Wednesday and Thursday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to facilitate curb-to-curb snow removal. Wednesday, January 29th, there will be no parking on East/West streets. Thursday, January 30th, there will be no parking on North/South streets.


9:14 a.m. St. Joseph County will be closing Bittersweet Road between Cleveland and Anderson Roads from 10 a.m. to noon to allow heavy equipment to clear blowing and drifting snow.


9:11 a.m. IU South Bend will close its campus beginning at 10 a.m. This includes IU South Bend Elkhart Center.


8:49 a.m. All triple-trailers, long-doubles, high profile oversize permit loads, and steel haulers are banned from the entire length of the Indiana Toll Road. Ban begins at 9 a.m. and last until Tuesday, January 28th at 9 a.m.


8:38 a.m. La Porte County Government Offices are closed today.


8:32 a.m. Elkhart County Board of Commissioners declared a snow emergency for Elkhart County. All offices are closed and non-emergency drivers are not allowed on roads.


8:05 a.m. St. Joseph County will be closing Ash Road between Douglas and Cleveland Roads. This will happen from 8-10 a.m. This will allow heavy equipment to clear drifting and blowing snow.


8:00 a.m. St. Joseph County Police told ABC 57 from one end of the county to the other there are a number of cars stuck or abandoned on roads. Residents asked not to drive if possible.


6:40 a.m. St. Joseph County, Michigan, declares a Local Snow Emergency due to white out conditions. All non-essential travel is prohibited.


6:17 a.m. St. Joseph County Police closed Bittersweet Road between Douglas and Cleveland. Also planned to close Ash Road between Cleveland and Douglas. Roads are impassable.


5:52 a.m. Cass County, Michigan, orders a Local Snow Emergency. All residents urged to stay off roads. All non-essential/non-emergency traffic may be ticketed.


5:00 a.m. Berrien County announced all day closure of county administration, courts, and heath department.
