Local bakery donates 2,400 loaves of bread to food bank

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Wednesday, one local bakery gave the Food Bank of Northern Indiana quite a donation.

A delivery truck from Aunt Millie's dropped off 2,400 loaves of bread Wednesday morning at the South Bend Food Bank.

With 22 slices per loaf, that's enough bread to make 26,400 sandwiches.

"This is something that we look forward to every year. This is a way to give back to the community that has supported us over the years," said Tome Rockhill, Branch Manager Aunt Millie's Bakery.

The fresh bread will be distributed to those in need throughout the holiday season.
