SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Mila Reynolds, a senior at South Bend Washington High School, signed a letter of intent on Wednesday to study and play basketball at the University of Maryland.
Reynolds has been verbally committed to playing basketball for the Terrapins since she was a sophomore at Washington.
“Playing D1 is obviously a blessing, but going to Maryland is even more special. I just love everyone there: the players; the coaching staff; the community; and the campus. Everything about it, I just love. So, I knew it was the right choice for me. I'm so glad I got to do this, not only for my family, but also for the community of Washington, just to show them they can do something as high-level as this could be,” said Reynolds.
Reynolds is currently coached by her father at Washington. Her younger sister has verbally committed to play basketball at the University of Maryland as well.
The team hosts their home opener for the season against Mishawaka Marian on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
