La Casa to break ground on affordable housing in Goshen
ELKHART, Ind. -- An Elkhart boxer is returning home a champion.
21-year-old super heavyweight Cristian Rodríguez won the Indiana Golden Gloves Championship Thursday night in Indianapolis.
He's now a two-time Indiana Golden Gloves winner and headed to Detroit next month for the National Golden Gloves Tournament.
Rodríguez competes with 4B Boxing Club in Elkhart, which also coached two junior Golden Gloves champs this year.
If you want to support the gym, it's hosting an amateur boxing show on May 4, 3 p.m., at the Maple City Conference Center in Goshen.
