Windy and wet this weekend, but unseasonable warmth as well
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Whether you’re cheering on the Los Angeles Rams or the Cincinnati Bengals, there are plenty of spots in town to watch the big game.
A kitchen staff member at Taphouse on the Edge said to prepare for the influx of people he said the kitchen has been getting a head start.
“Getting ready for the taco bar, having all the fresh vegetables cut, and preparing out wings for all the cater orders so we can cook them, so we don’t need to count them out or anything,” kitchen staff member, Robert Wood said.
Wood said they’ve been preparing everything all week. Taphouse on the Edge is just one of many bars and restaurants in Michiana that’s getting ready for the influx of people coming out to watch the big game. They’ll be showing the football game on all 19 of their big TV’s around the bar, and on their 19 smaller ones, located at each booth table. They’re also offering special deals on food and drinks, like their taco bar and carry-out wing special.
Wood has been with Taphouse for almost two years and said last year, around this time was quieter than usual and they had more carry-out orders than normal. However, he said he hopes for a good turnout today, just like in previous years.
“Hopefully a packed house, and everybody enjoying themselves watching the game,” Wood said.
