Local Girl Scouts are getting ready for another season of fundraising!
Selling the beloved Girl Scout Cookies isn’t about the sales for the girls, but instead the lessons it can teach.
The program brings out the entrepreneurial spirit in young girls, teaching them to be leaders and helping them learn more about business and financial skills.
2,200 girls helped sell cookies last year.
The money earned always stays local, going back to fund the troop’s scouting goals.
It makes it possible for the girls to fund activities year-round, and other trips or community projects they’re working on.
You’ll start to see the Girl Scouts out in the community, mainly at cookie booths set up at different stores.
When you buy a box, know you’re helping the girls in that troop learn valuable life lessons that they’ll be able to carry with them.
