Local groups hosting debate for District 6 council candidates

The American Democracy Project of IU South Bend and the League of Women Voters of the South Bend Area will hold their final candidate debate of the election season on October 29 for the South Bend Common Council District 6 candidates.
Candidates Shelia Niezgodski, a Democrat, and Eli Cantu, write in, will participate in the debate.
The event will be held October 29 from 6 - 7:30 p.m. at the Civil Rights Heritage Center at 1040 W. Washington Street in South Bend.
Voters can submit questions for the candidates on notecards.
Dr. Elizabeth Bennion will moderate the debate.
