MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The R Bar of Mishawaka posted Sunday on Facebook regarding the passing of Bradley Bogaert and the everlasting impact Bogaert will have on the local LGBTQ community.
Bogaert is commended for memorable performances and pledging to provide a comfortable atmosphere for the LGBTQ community members.
“He could be loud and eccentric, but he cared deeply for the LGBTQ community and ensuring they had safe spaces to be themselves,” the R Bar said.
The post also notices the endless effort and passion that Bogaert put into every performance.
“The most entertaining MC and host. Bradley stole every show that [we] had the honor of having him perform,” the R Bar added.
R Bar announced they are hosting benefit shows on Thursday, Friday and Saturday with all tips of those days going to help cover the costs of Bogaert's funeral.
Volunteer performers are welcomed to the benefit days to help fundraising efforts.
For more updates on the benefit events or to volunteer, visit R Bar's Facebook page.
