Local little league receives a $5,000 donation

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- The Fifth District Crime Prevention Squad, with Michigan State Police, donated $5,000 to help support the Benton Harbor Youth Little League.

With funding through the State Trooper Outreach Partnership, Sgt. Fields was able to provide the donation check to the league’s director on Saturday.

Donated money was used by the little league to pay for new uniforms and equipment for teams and players.

The crime prevention team also helped clean up the little league’s park and even coached a few games.
