Local Middle School educator Adams wins ISCA Counselor of the Year award
ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Elkhart Community Schools announced this week that Pierre Moran Middle School Counselor Timothy Adams has been named the Indiana Middle School Counselor of the Year by the Indiana School Counselors Association.
“My philosophy has always been ‘it’s not me, it’s we,’" Adams said. “As a building, as a team, it’s always ‘us.’ Thank you so much for this honor.”
The award is given to school counselors who provide "outstanding service for their students, as well as achieve professional excellence."
Adams is now one of three finalists for the overall Indiana School Counselor of the Year award. The two other finalists are the Indiana Elementary School Counselor of the Year, and the other is the Indiana High School Counselor of the Year.
The winner will be announced at the ISCA Conference in November.
