Local police gather for annual Law Enforcement Torch Run

Local police officers gathered in North Liberty Sunday to raise money for the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.
The third annual event included running along with Beat The Heat go-karting.
"This is just an opportunity for us to raise some money for our local Special Olympics athletes. The state games are later this week and it's just a way for us to send them off and show them how much we appreciate the fact that they're representing us in the state games" said Lieutenant Matt Blank with the Saint Joseph County Police.
All of the money raised will benefit Special Olympic athletes here in Saint Joseph County.
