Local travel agent going away; not on vacation

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A local travel agent is in hot water for stealing money.  She accepted money from her clients, but never planned their trips.

50-year-old Diann Reamer plead guilty on Sept. 7 to four counts of Theft, each a  Class D felony.

She was sentenced on Monday to eight years in prison, with four executed and four suspended.  Reamer will also be on probation for six years after she is released from jail.

As part of the plea agreement, the State agreed her prison sentence would not exceed four years, and also required Reamer to pay full restitution to the victims on all 10 counts in the total amount of $59,939.33.

The sentencing range for a Class D felony is six months to three years in prison.
