Local universities receive bowl invites

Besides Notre Dame, some other local colleges are headed to bowl games.
Purdue and Western Michigan will go head to head in the Little Caesar's Bowl on December 27th. Twelth-ranked Michigan State will face No. 18 Georgia in the Outback Bowl on January 2nd.
Thirteenth-ranked Michigan is headed to the sugar bowl to take on No. 17 Virginia Tech. That game will take place on January 3rd.
