Local veterans receive quilts in honor of their service

Local veterans got a very special gift from Liberty Sewing Circle in Warsaw.
Volunteers presented 5 veterans with Threads of Valor quilts to honor them for their service in World War II, Korea, Vietnam and the Gulf War.
A pair of quilts even to a father and son who have served.
"I think it's a really great honor to be with my dad. He'll be 91 this September," said Von Frieden, who served with in the Army National Guard.
"That's great. I really can't explain how it feels. It's great," said James Frieden, who served in the Navy.
Veterans who live at Grace Village Health Care were given quilts also made by the local sewing group.
